I'm too lazy to look it up but I saw on a documentary that said America had something like 40x the amount of resources as Japan. Yep. Not 2 times more. Not 10 times more. Not 20 times more. 40 TIMES more resources. Had the Japanese had even just a quarter of the resources America had, the Japanese could have easily forced peace negotiations with America.

Japan was an Island nation with no natural resources of its own.



With that said, you're post is spot on. The Japanese, are unique from other Asians though. They are even smarter and a lot less emotional. No men of any race like to see their women being taken in high numbers by foreigners. Yes the nukes ultimately broke Japan but after their initial successes in late 1941 and early 1942 all major battles fought in the pacific war was an Allied victory and that's why I say they lost due to their industrial capabilities not being on par with that of the US or the UK.
