Based on our limited understanding, it seems that American-born kids, especially in their adolescence, may encounter issues like drugs, firearms, alcohol abuse, and early sexual activities, as depicted frequently in media. Every time we see such scenes in movies, it makes us feel very uncomfortable. Our life trajectories, similar to most peers in China, have been focused on academic pursuits, and our behavior has been relatively disciplined, devoid of any such activities. Thus, we hope our child can stay away from these things in the future.
