There is loads of people who live in the street in Mumbai and loads of people who have slums in the other cities and outskirts and also there is tons of working poor like rickshaw drivers who only make like £10 a day for a whole day
Today I had to argue with rickshaw driver he wanted triple the normal fare the usual fare is 50 rupee and he wanted 150 we gave him 120 and told him to fuck off because he still wanted even more to 150

I know people who live in Gujarat and they tell me its one of the best places. The public transportation there is really good and you can get a ride for really cheap. The poverty rate in 2012 was 29.5% and is 21.9% in 2024. That's a decrease of 7.6%. Look how fast India's gdp is growing per capita.
