Which site were you playing on? Lichess? Chess.com? I've been trying to get back into it myself.

One thing I found helpful is to learn your tactics especially as a beginner. Learn forks, skewers, pins, hanging pieces &c. Getting used to recognizing them gives you an advantage, especially in the lower levels of play.

Whenever i play chess, everytime i get a piece killed i feel like im being moged, and then i start tilting and playing worse until i finally dont care anymore.
