Experiment I'm quitting smoking as part of my New Years resolution.

I just today had my last pack of Marlboro Reds, smoked using a classic Zippo lighter.

I don't have an image sadly, I would love to have shared that romantic experience with you. I was smoking very slowly and mindfully, to savor the experience, knowing that I was going to quit. I did this while overlooking my favorite spot on the side of this river stream, observing the deer.

So while I don't have an image of that, please enjoy this image I took on the tenth year anniversary of the 'Day of Retribution'. The drink below is actually Elliot Rodger's final drink, a triple vanilla latté.

The image I should have took today of my final cigarette would have gone harder, the image is beautiful.

It's unhealthy and expensive. I can tangibly feel my chest and breathing getting heavier, and it costs too much money.

I'm also concerned about getting cancer. I need to quit at some point, as year after year after year of daily smoking, as I was doing, is statistically very likely to cause cancer.

Smoking is the greatest cause of preventable deaths in society.

I've only starting smoking this year i smoke like no more then 5 a day though since im a NEET.

Another reason I want to quit smoking is because I want to go on a tolerance reset.

I've noticed that I no longer feel the same "buzz" as I used to when I first began smoking. I'm hoping that buy quitting, I'll reset my tolerance to be able to feel the soothing buzz feeling.

I'm not planning to stop forever, as I enjoy it too much. I'll buy a pack again for a special occasion, like for when I finally graduate college, in a really stressful situation, or, ideally, when I'm taking a vacation.
