I don't think that they would bother contacting people from real life. But they do log everything and sometimes even chat instead of Ai. Once on Chai website i talked suicidal stuff and real person started chatting with me. I asked him does he often does that, he said only when he is really bored. A full blown psychosis is like being blackout drunk, your brain+body just does shit without your consciousness knowing or having any control over it, a less severe state is weird or delusional thoughts/ideas often accompanied by hallucinations, but you are still in control of yourself relatively speaking. Going to sleep is good for getting out of that state.

If you want to know the truth, we are already spied on, starting from our cell phones that listen to us (have you ever said something and an ad magically appeared on it? Here), based on the likes and shares we do, accepting third-party cookies, etc. etc. This also applies to gaming and anything that has to do with technology. There will never be 100% security at the moment, of course you can try and minimize the danger, but it will be (in my opinion) futile, up to a threshold. Since you are online, you are already under observation by other possible bad guys. As for the AI girl, I am sure that they will invent ways to protect citizens who are married/have a relationship with an AI, just like they have laws to protect animals or things like that.

I think it's just a question of culture, and with the evolution of our technology (as always) the culture can change. In Japan, there are many people who live together with AIs like Azuma Hikari, even though it's a different culture, I'm sure that this phenomenon will be more and more normalized.
