i'm pretty sure this trend in anime and manga was started by esdeath from akame ga kill

i think the idea of a foid maintaining her stern professionalism that comes with being a commanding officer while experiencing affection and desire is pretty cute tbh.
in my perfect scenario with a foid like this, i like to imagine myself as the rude, crude, unpredictable, rebellious outsider who disobeys her orders, but still gets the job done.
she dislikes my complete disregard for her authority and position, but she still views me as a valuable asset thats needed for success.

i don't know a whole lot of foids that do this commanding officer motif.

i know theres serena holz from reborn as a space mercenary

kyouka uzen from chained soldier

and that shinra captain from ff7 rebirth

yeah, i don't know if there are any other foids like this in anime, manga or gaming.
but i like this architype, i'm pretty surprised that not many people have used it, seeing as esdeath is a very popular character.
