If you're from a tropical or sub-tropical country, do NOT move the the midwest. Despite it being considerably warmer compared to where I live, it still will be cold and miserable for someone not used to ice and snow for half the year.

Don't move anywhere in the midwest region. It gets extremely hot in the summer, extremely cold and snowy in the winter. Rarely is there a happy medium. It's the same in the northeastern part of the USA. For weather, I'd look at the south (though it can get very hot, the winters are mild) or California which is out west.
