My Xbox controller stopped working today. ENOUGH. I am done interacting with any video game consoles older than 2011. I'm going to jailbreak my PS3 and then I'll never touch any new shit again. This is obnoxious.

I remember my electrical engineering teacher telling me that electronic devices were designed to have a defined lifespan, to encourage the consumer to buy a new model. Cartridge-based systems will have longer lifespans. A big problem with newer consoles is laser failures, hard drive crashes and overheating catastrophes.

So stick to N64 , Nes , GBA , SNES , Megadrive etc...

On top of that controller prices have gone up over 50%. A 360 controller used to be 50 dollars and now they're fucking 80. They're also cheaper overall. Buttons and shit break sooner, more stick drift at higher dead zones than the original 360 and lower dead zones, buttons getting sticky, etc.

I don’t understand how people break their consoles. The only ones I like i had break on me is the 360. Sometimes buttons on controllers break but you can replace those yourself.

Xbox one controllers have a habit of losing the ability to connect to your console over time. Obnoxious. Other controllers start drifting and it becomes a pain to constantly fix them. Third party controllers are better nowadays

I’ve been using my Xbox one for like 10 years and haven’t had that problem.

That's why you buy 3rd party controllers like amazing Gamesir G7 SE it's sold for less than $50 and is better than elite controller with zero drift due hall-effect

i only wish that triggers would be a bit different since first 20-30% of the trigger press doesn't react and then rest is super sensitive

I might get teh Switch 2 but as for the next Xbox or ps6 I'm done. I don't play games like I used to anymore. I like the Switch because I can watch TV as I play.

I have that exact controller and it's amazing

0 stick drift and it's only $50 compared to a basic xbox controller from microsoft which is $70
