Experiment illegal for me to record peoples heights from their drivers licenses?

i see hundreds of people daily at my job and i swear only like 1% of them have been 6'2 and above, only one guy so far was 6'8 jfl (because i have to scan their ID's/drivers licenses and height is always the one i look at first), and the tall ones ALWAYS come in with their wives/gfs despite having a average/below average face. i really have a hard time understanding how you can possibly fuck up as a tallfag, you would have to be an unbelievably hideous repulsive disgusting facially deformed man in order to not be able to get a gf.

there's definitely some kind of distribution going on here and im really tempted to create a spreadsheet and keep track of every single persons height and if they come in with a gf/wife that i see, although im worried theres some kind of law about it and i dont wanna get fucking arrested over a dumb experiment.

Personally I don't think it would be illegal anywhere to take note of someone's height as long as you aren't recording other personal information like their name or address.
