I talked about it here a few times, but one thing that is just as soul crushing as having no friends or girl is to NEVER own anything.
I looked up immobilienscout24 which is this plattform for Germans to find homes to buy - and the prices are astronomically. You wont be able to finance a house if you aint making like 150k€ a year minimum.
I make 46k which is still above the median were I live.
And its not just houses, the apartments too are crazy expensive!
I will never own any of these Apartments. Not one. With my current job even if I get a promotion, id never actuall own these even if I invest everything I have at the end of the month into a stock that makes anually +100% (which is rare and speculative).
It be maybe possible if I had a women at my side who works a decent job and we share our money - but yeah you know about that.
And then that women basically would need to not cheat on me, not leave me randomly, not keep her money away from me, not 'not' trust me...yeah we all know its all over!
Even the shittiest, most run down places, in the cheapest cities, with disgusting neighbors, 2 bedroom Apartments are no less then 80k€ - and you dont WANT to live there.
German people are slowly running out of money. Especially here in Leipzig you can slowly SEE the desperation people have. Its in peoples moods and faces. They are all done with themselves. They are not happy. Nobody but Immigrants are laughting.
Even the Gen Alpha kids are just either glued to their screen with grim eyes and faces or are screaming around like they are on crack - which they might as well be.
If you arent Nepo Baby or Social Media Stars or have a high demand job that pays VERY well like a doctor or lawyer. You will never actually own a place you say "Yes, this is MINE, this was ACTUALLY WORTH IT!"
