I agree with you. Religion can be used to create fear of an omnious "divine punishment" If humans break rules.
But there are fewer and fewer believers in the West. So society must ensure that social rules are adhered to and that the perpetrators are outlawed if they break said social rules. However, society no longer fulfils this task. Especially women can do what they want.

Im sure you guys do realize at this point that there are countless countless guys that still slay with women but realize their nature and hygergamy.
