So there I was on my way to the electronics store to pick up something I had ordered earlier. Got to the store, headed to the collection corner where I was met with a guy who had a highly visible condition effecting him above the neck (I don't want to get into specifics). So I greet the guy and go through the motions before handing him my phone with the details of the product I was picking up. And I started to notice that this guy was actually extremely (like unnaturally) meek in his demeanor... mental disability you ask? I doubt it, we had a short chat about the product, he was perfectly normal in what he said. Got the product and headed out.

It was my drive home where I really thought about this, why he behaved the way he behaved, no doubt he was bullied growing up, bullying leads to being unpopular, which leads to being an outcast, which yadda yadda yadda... leads to poor socialization. The guy didn't have a fucking hope in hell. It's a nasty, shitty world out there... hard enough for a regular guy, but what about a guy who didn't have the chance to build those all important skills growing up? I mean, you're fucked.

Then I started thinking about all the guys I've known over my lifetime who also had some form of PHYSICAL problem like this... and realized next to none of them behaved "normally". Then I thought about all the girls I've known over my lifetime who also had some form of PHYSICAL problem like this... nearly all of them behaved "normally".

It was a really eye opening, sombre drive home man, fucking hell.

That's why the disabled tend to seek medical support. It's an entirely different world for you if you, say, are paralyzed from the waist down. You can't go fucking like someone who can walk can. You have to live a different life, and you need a support network to carry you through that.

paraplegics choose to not walk, they need to work on their motor skills like everyone else had to

"They need to pick themselves up by their bootstraps and quit blaming women for their so called "disability"... Wheelchair boys will never be real men! teehee"
