there are multiple theories to this.
1.its because attraction was never really a dealbreaker in previous generations. an ugly landlord could mary 10 different woman
2. men got uglier over time because their T levels got shot to hell
3. men are simply ugly by default, and the few lucky ones that spawned out of supermodel genes were born into the world
regardless of the outcome, it is obvious that on average, females are more attractive than men are, so whats the point of this chance-based reproduction?
im not saying it has to be fair, but nature is supposed to be balanced
