Do you believe he truly did, or if he did, do you believe it was intentional or direct? The acknowledgement of our world's imperfections are not evidence for the lack of God's presence, but rather his omnipotence, or possibly the will to act on it. But this is conjecture.

The same observation could be made of the place we know, this broken world is hell. But you're referring to a different God, or perhaps a different aspect of him on a lower level. The "sin" was understanding that the world he made is imperfect, and now he does everything he can to make sure we don't leave.
