Idiot dog in the middle of the road

I was driving down a residential road, I see what looks like a golden retriever in the middle of the road just sitting there. I go to the left and the dog literally follows me right in front of my car. I lay on the horn and it finally moves along. You have to be very cautious out driving now, because there's all kinds of loose dogs roaming the streets.

This isn't the first time this has happened. Dogs will literally run right in front of your vehicle. They are extremely dumb animals. It keeps me on edge, along with all the crazy drivers in my town. Anyone else deal with this in their town?
