In the town where I live there is a big anime convention every year. The outside areas of it are openly
accessible without a ticket, so I went there just for fun to see the cosplay people, and I have to say, most of them
seemed very nice and open. And what suprised me most, even though anime seems like a really subhuman hobby, there were actually
a lot of girls there. So if you like anime and want more friends, why not go to smaller local conventions and try to meet people there (if you are not already doing that)?
The fanbase seems to be the best thing about animismus tbh.
