Maybe i'd like something horror.
Any suggestion?

Higurashi is great.
But there are mant good ones such as:
Evangelion, steinsgate, mushoku tensei, gurren laggan, watamote, welcome to the nhk, just to name a few

good ones above
but honestly starting off i would watch naruto, dbz, death note, or attack on titan usually the more digestible animes for a first time viewer

might enjoy monster really good one as well

I definitely agree on death note and AOT, but my first one was evangelion kek.

For horror/ at least a horror vibe, boogiepop Phantom, serial experiments lain, Elfen lied.

I liked him from the beggining :lul: ovER kek

Probably watch the top 10 animes on myanimelist and if you happen to like a few of them, follow-up with their sequels or other related animes.

Undead Girl Murder Farce is really good. Try that out.

If you want something horror themed, maybe try Soul Eater? It does horror really well even though it's undercut by the comedy not being very funny.
General anime I really like:
Darker than Black: kinda edgy, but I like the way it tells short stories and I really like the characters and worldbuilding
Gankutsuou: the animation is gorgeous and the story is heartfelt
Fate/Zero: once again it's kinda edgy, but I like how it manages to have such a broad cast and still characterize all of them.
Katanagatari: I like the way it fleshes out the personalities of each of the sword wielders. The two MCs have a really good rapport too.

Dragon Ball Z

Not horror but HxH

these for horror, except for Lain which sucks balls

Any suggestion?
Nana is a manga written by a woman and honestly, it's good at showing you how foids work and how they get pumped and dumped by chad, no bullshit idealization or any other bullshit like other manga written by men do.

If you don't care about slow pacing, Ashita no Joe.

Watch Code Geass

Parasyte was cool and kinda horror
