She lost her home over 2 tweets. And this was years back - now we're getting all these stories of people being imprisoned over their posts online.

Maybe the golden age of the internet is well and truly over and now it's become a very dangerous place.

Maybe it's because freedom of speech online here in the UK is clamped down on more than in countries like America?

Huh, wow. Some wild stuff in that interview.

It's odd really as I feel like the law is so broad that a huge number of people COULD be arrested for saying various things. So it makes you wonder how they decide who to go after when at this point surely the numbers of possible people is pretty huge as it's so strict.

It seems that volume makes a big difference. The number of impression that your post makes. Most of the ones that led to arrests were seen by quite a few people I think.

To be honest I haven't used Twitter in a long time.

I remember when it was new... I used to post to it by text message lol

Literally I would send a text and it would submit the tweet!
