This one quote struck with me as I was recently rewatching the show "I am quite popular with girls".

High IQ, tall, handsome and mogs the shit out of L who's a socially crippled giga high IQ autist.

Most foids irl want a man like Yagami, not a nice guy like L they would help him to enact his plans even if they risked life behind bars if caught.

This anime has a lot of blackpilling moments in it.

You will never be like Yagami.

Pretty sure Light in series got much better treatment due to his looks than Rudeus. He managed to get Misa Amane, a famemaxxed Stacy, to drool for him and leave her completely chad struck and do all sorts of insane risky shit.

That's true, but to be fair this is like comparing apples to oranges. Both series and protagonists are aiming for completely different things. I don't really think Rudeus' appearance would have helped him in his situation as much as his connections to important people did, very much unlike Light.

Regardless, he is routinely described as tall in the light novels, including in an overview of his life in the epilogue. I imagine he'll grow taller as I think currently he's about 15 or 16, and the series ends when he's 20 or 21.
