I'm not poor and I've never been except maybe when my mom was single. I know that I'm lucky to have two parents to pay for my food, shelter, and other things, and a third one to pay for my medical insurance. But still, I want more extra stuff than I have.
I want to get toys, video games, clothes, hookers and stuff. There are so many things that I want but I don't want to buy them because I want to keep my money.
I work at a deli in a grocery store and I make $12 per hour. In the begining, I was called in to work on almost all of my days off because we were understaffed and the other new guy kept showing up drunk. He doesn't work there anymore. My manager wanted me to be employee of the month my first month because if this, customers like the way I cut things (there are people who only want me to cut their stuff,) and I'm very clean. My manager ended up being employee of the month. Two days ago a customer told me I was the best deli guy there.
After the first 3 weeks, they stated hiring more people and now I get usually two days off in a row each week and sometimes an extra that's spaced out. Now I only make about $300 per week. Before I was making like $400 but it sucked to be at work all the time and my car had problems again and I ended up spending $1200 dollars to get it fixed by my neighbor, he's a mechanic.
Even though I live with my parents and have no expenses except gas and car insurance, I still feel like I am not making very much money. My parents also still give me $10 every time I mow the lawn and they pay me for weeding the garden but the lawn doesn't need to be mowed very often and weeding the garden just sucks.
I'm still pretty good at stealing the food that's going to be thrown away. There's nothing wrong with that, they're the ones who are wasting food, I think it's wrong of them to charge me for something they're just going to throw away. Still sometimes when I'm at work and hungry, I see all the food there and sometimes I buy some, it adds up over time so I don't want to do that much. I need to start bringing lunch to work.
