The sad thing is if you seek professional help, they'll tell you that you have body dysmorphia, regardless of how you look. Unless you're a burn victim or something.

To get laid? Maybe. To live a pleasant life? No, BDD sufferers really don't though, it has one of the highest suicide rates of mental illnesses, many augment their faces until they look ridiculous and most who don't kill themselves live socially isolated. It never leaves your head.

If you seek professional help there's truly no saying how it can go. That field is so fucked. I went to a roastie therapist in my teens with a clear case of ocd + bdd [commonly comorbid btw] and the bitch tried to diagnose me with aspbergers, the fad mental disorder at the time. Wtf even entitles a therapist to diagnose? They aren't even fucking doctors. jfl

yea this is why i dont bother going to seek help for anything. They tell you what you want to hear, doesnt matter what it is, depression, suicidal thoughts etc etc therapy is cope and they will just bluepill you while giving you shitty drugs
