If I started murdering people I wouldn't need justification. I've had so much injustice done to me in my life that my hatred is enough to kill people I don't even know. I don't care about justice. I would have no moral qualms about burning babies alive. They too will grow up one day and would then be “legitimate targets”. Why wait so long?

The only film in this area that I like is American Psycho. Patric murders simply because he feels like it. He basically doesn't care about his victims. He chooses them randomly regardless of what role they play in his life. For him, people are toys that he takes and throws away after use. Personality doesn't exist for him. He himself has none and is completely soulless. He just does his thing. "Inside doesn't matter." For him, everything that has to do with the perception of himself by others is just a means to an end to deceive and kill them. Unfortunately, the film only shows part of it. The book is much better.
