I work at a mundane computer science related desk job and I've pretty much maintained the same position for 2 years now without getting a promotion while I watch others overtake me and my position like it was nothing. A few months ago some Chad looking male, who is just LOVED by all the foids in the office, came to the office with my equivalent position and sucked up to the boss to the point where any conversation was cringeworthy. Just today my boss got promoted and who gets given the promotion? You guessed it, Chad. It was made clear to me that he had some sort of problem with me from the beginning and that was reciprocated. His first move as the boss was to gather us in the meeting room and formerly introduce himself. The icing on the cake was when we were discussing jvm implementation (don't worry, you don't need to understand that) and he said that it was harder to find than a girlfriend for me which was followed by a complete roar from everyone in the room. I feel absolutely dead inside, this is my life now. I want to quit but I can't afford months without pay since my rent is high. Fuck this, fuck everything.

Dude I'm in the same position, the worse is that the project already made two people quit, and they put me there as a INTERNSHIP, the project use javaweb and I need to take the data from the database to make reports with jreport, but it is a huge fucking system and the guy that is helping don't really care in teaching me, I suspect they put me there so for me to fail and they can get rid of me because of it
