Something that's super embarrassing I did in high school was that I started dressing like Steve Urkel from Family Matters with the suspenders, glasses, everything because I knew he was an extremely loved character irl and I wanted the same reputation and treatment as I struggling hard with socializing.

Jestermaxxing is never worth it. You're just treated poorly in the open and everybody sees you as joke. They only keep you around to laugh AT you and not with you, and never give you any benefits of being around them (ie inviting you to events, etc).
