We have Alek Minassian's last facebook post, footage of him miming pulling a gun a police officer, and this paltry amount of biographical data (via Wikipedia):
Police identified the suspect as 25-year-old Alek Minassian, who had no prior criminal history. According to his LinkedIn profile, he was a student at Seneca College in North York from 2011 to 2018 and lives in Richmond Hill, a suburb north of Toronto. He was a software and mobile app developer. His former classmates at Thornlea Secondary School described him as "not overly social" and "harmless".

In late 2017, Minassian enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces for two months, before requesting voluntary release after 16 days of recruit training. A senior military official said that Minassian "wasn't adapting to military life, including in matters of dress, deportment and group interactions in a military setting" and "there were no red flags and nothing that would point to anything like this."

Is there anything else we know about him, including how he is doing now?

That's part of what made Elliot such a revolutionary, despite his underwhelming spree, the fact there was so much information on him, vlogs, a manifesto, forum posts, etc.. It gives him a sense of charm and character, you can get a real feel for what he was like, how it would be to know him.
I wonder if killers to come should try and leave some form of internet legacy for people to explore, once they're gone.

Could be a false flag. A definite lack of information is always the first clue. For me, something didn't ring true about the Alek Minassian event. Reminded me somewhat of the Westminster Bridge 'outrage' in London last year. ER has gained so much kudos because he laid everything down there for people to watch/read once he was gone.
