- Every problem you've ever had is caused by your own existence, regardless as to how you feel about your own personal circumstances, your life certainly isn't something good only by virtue of it's presence.
- You're entitled to strive without even a measure of contentment? To sustain yourself off of the the horizon without ever really reaching it? I'd call that neither liberty nor happiness. Entitled to "pursuit of happiness" is a dishonest way to go about saying you're entitled to nothing.
- So you wouldn't call a job that you hate, and which pays poorly, a "bad job"?
- If you have motivation, sure. Although motivation can be difficult to muster if you feel there is no point in putting in effort.
- That doesn't seem very American to me, our entire society is sustained through debt. As children we're constantly encouraged to later accumulate so much debt that we resemble indentured servants, toiling away for decades just trying to pay it off.
- If an employer knowingly endangered you, failed to inform you of said danger, would you then say that the responsibility for this rests entirely upon you?

- Your choices are the direct result of your circumstances. I think we can safely say that a man born to an African tribe doesn't have access to the same choices as, say, a man born in America. You can extrapolate this as far as you want to, but my point is that to say success is solely the product of your own volition, well that's incredibly unreasonable.

I’ve worked for one too many small business and they all have that same mindset: ‘I hire you, your life is mine, and if you don’t like it there’s other people who want this job’. The majority of small business owners are so sketchy, scum baggy pieces of shit.
I hate that attitude they have “be grateful you have a job, even if I’m paying you minimum wage with no benefits”, but they act like they’re being so beneficial to society by offering services
