I will not go into too much detail. I have a cousin who lives in Mexico. He currently resides in the state of Jalisco. If you have some knowledge about jalisco, it is the one for most dangerous states in Mexico. It is where cartel activities are common. My cousin works for the state government of Jalisco. He is also rich. Although I am not close to him, I found out that he is rich because one of my relatives showed me a video of his home. It appears that he lives in a high-end house, its the kind of house that most Mexicans cant afford. I was told that he and family takes vacations to the Disneyland, Italy, Spain, France and other countries. When I looked into the yearly salaries of Jalisco State employees, they only make 60,000-80,000 pesos a year. This isn't enough pesos enough to live a life of luxury. How is he able to afford this lifestyle when his job only makes 60-80 thousand pesos a year? The only answer would be bribes from the cartels. As a matter of fact, Jalisco state employees at all levels receive bribes from criminal organizations. This is to ensure the state government turns a blind eye to illegal activities that take place in their state. If a state employee in Mexico refuses to take a bribe, he/she will be killed. I brought this up to my family and they tell me that they don't want to talk about it and it's none of their business how he makes his money. If you are a state government employee in one of Mexico's violent states, you are most likely taking money from a local cartel, they even bribe state employees who work in the health and education sectors. I think my cousin is corrupt which is why he living large. I am skeptical of him
