I'll enlighten OP.

- it's 4 witnesses to get stoned. Same rule is there for adultery. The point of that rule is to make it practically impossible to get stoned (unless you decide to self confess, which is what some of the very rare cases in early Islamic history were).

- instead there is t'azir. This is conviction based on other evidence (outside of the 4 witness rule). In other words, a rapist can still get convicted and spend life in jail based on other evidence to prove the rape. The 4 witness rule is just for stoning punishment.
