I love ancient stuff, and when I was in high school I took Latin - I was a shithead so I never learned it but my teacher was really passionate and we read so much Classical Latin works (i.e., other students read it for me) and it was a nice cope / distraction.
And when I was in college I took a Prophetic Biblical Literature course focused on Old Testament prophecy - it was in the Department of Hebrew and we analyzed the Old Testament prophets from a linguistic / Hebrew perspective as well as a literary perspective.
I'm an oldcel and good god it's been almost a decade since those days. However, they take me back to happier times so why not pick an ancient language and study it?
I chose Hebrew because I wasn't that passionate about Greek and I wanted something new.
