Its a lot easier to distinct what's an attractive height (tall) than what's an attractive face. Its a lot easier to put into words, as height is objectively measurable. Facial attractiveness isn't. If your height is 5'8 your height will always be 5'8, but how people rate your face can differ. Its not 100% subjective, but there's more leeway than on height. Women generally can agree which height is attractive for a man, 6' and up usually. But facial traits, facial hair etc they can have some minor disagreements on.

The reason why height doesn't matter as much as having a genuinely attractive face, is that women definitely don't find every tall guy to be attractive. They most definitely don't. But if they see a genuine attractive face, they all find it attractive. Just because a woman doesn't vocalise why she finds certain faces attractive and certain faces unattractive, doesn't mean she's not judging people's faces. Its hard to put into words why certain features are attractive and why certain features aren't. Its not like when you see an attractive woman you stop and think "omg she has the perfect nose, perky tits and positive canthal tilt." You just think she's attractive, and that's it.
