I need your opinion on true black metal

Mayhem was great band with Dead.
And Burzum was not bad with Varg
But what is about rest of black metal bands?
What do you think?

Burzum wasn't very good. Mayhem wasn't very good either.

Mayhem doesn't even deserve to be peripherally associated with Burzum. Varg's music, some of it anyway, is absolutely masterful as to where Mayhem was nothing more than the musical amalgamation of the repulsive black metal scene. Varg even clarified on Twitter that burzum was a rebellion against the black Metal scene of the time and it's goofy tropes and commercialization.
Also nsbm can be pretty good, same with atmospheric stuff like Eldamar.

Im listening to Bathory now

Under the sign of the black mark, The return, and requiem were my favorites for awhile. As well as the early works or darkthrone.

They arent the same but more recently I like listening to Ulver and mgla (new ablum released a few weeks ago.)
