I miss Obsidian Pill. For those who don’t know, he was an incel youtuber, and he was almost solely responsible for blackpilling me and making me realize I was an incel.
I had heard about incels in the past, first time being the summer of 2017, when I saw a reddit post on the front page (I think) about someone who was an incel posing as a woman. I looked up “incel” because it was a cool sounding word, and didn’t think much of it.
In the spring of 2018 I got curious about incels after hearing of them again, and realizing I may have been an incel I went over to r/incels, unaware that it had been down, and saw it replaced with cucktears instead. I browsed there for some time, before realizing that a lot of the stuff in their screenshots made sense to me.
In the summer of 2018 I discovered Obsidian Pill, a really good incel youtuber who made lots of videos discussing many interesting topics, both related and not related to inceldom. The latter included things like reasons the Axis should have won the Second World War, and a video that taught me about antinatalism. There were also a lot of blackpills, such as (if I remember correctly) why women were attracted to killers like Ted Bundy and Ted Kaczynski. He had a really soothing voice so listening to his videos was was relaxing as well as educating.
The video that really touched me was entitled “JFL @ incels.me”. I didn’t know what JFL meant and originally thought it was someone’s initials and they were speaking at some sort of conference on the forum. However that’s besides the point.
The video was basically saying to imagine that you’re a caged animal in the middle of a field, getting to see all the other animals roaming around freely, and that’s what being an incel was like. Around this time I was getting more and more depressed that nobody loved me so this really struck a nerve.
To think that I was almost sucked into the “incels are bad” soy mentality, and may have been was I not blackpilled by this person, is astounding. Without him, I probably would not be typing this right now.
His YouTube channel got taken down months ago, and I miss it a lot. We do have a new incel youtuber now named Vav, but Obsidian Pill will always remain in my heart. I remember I was really depressed in the summer so I would cope by listening to his videos and it would cheer me up, learning the truth about the blackpill.
