I'd like to point out that it's not true that you're invisible as a sub5 male - whenever someone needs to show off by putting down someone else down, or needs to unload on someone to soothe hurt ego, you flare up like a christmas tree.
As I age I'm slowly entering the "young adult" looks facially, and I notice that people, well, notice me a lot more.
Granted, people always gave me more shit than average person, but when I was a kid it were only other kids that paid attention to me, when I was a teenager it were only other teenagers etc.
Once you stop looking like a teenager all the adults start paying attention to you - you're no longer just some teen, now you register in everyone's lizard brain as potential competition and/or danger, people with dogs, older couples, they all look at you even when doing the most mundane things, measuring you up.
I miss the teenage days where on a busy friday night in a city I could slide like a ghost past dozens of people - all looking for "experiences" and trouble - without a single one so much as looking at me.
