I absolutely love these young, pure children.

I was reminded of this at church today. I'm an usher at church so I stand in the front lobby before you enter the sanctuary. An 11-month old's father brought her out to the front lobby as she was getting restless. She had just begun walking and was looking in awe at everything. My fatherly instincts must have kicked in because it was taking me everything I had to not scoop her up in my arms and hold her.

Then after church two eleven year old boys helped me clean up the sanctuary of programs and communion cups.

I want to be a father so badly, but never will because of a few millimeters of bone.

Not catholic. I attend a southern baptist church. I personally don't agree with some catholic views but attending bible studies, and volunteering in the church are a good way to form friendships and meet new people

Why not? Is autism is a heritable trait that can be passed from parent to child? That had never occurred to me, or were you just inferring that it would be difficult for a child to live with an autistic father? There is probably a subreddit somewhere on that topic if so.
