The only good thing Japan had in WW2 was it's navy, the air force was very good early on but the Japanese didn't improve upon their designs when the U.S did. Their ground force doctoraine sucked so much dick that the U.S managed to take over 100 islands in the span of 3 years. The only fucking wars Japan has won was against itself in retarded civil wars, the time that the Mongols invaded, and the Russo sino war. Japan had always been a joke compared to western powers and to even call them "militaristic" is funny, since for most of their history they have been killing each other. Just STFU if you literally have nothing else to say except how glorious Japan was.
Well considering most of their doctrines we're adopted in the late 19th century and early 20th century and most of them being from EUROPE I'd say calling Japan militaristic isn't funny.
Yes they had difficulties during the war ( Poor cooperation, lack of resources, etc. ). The problem Japan had during WW2 is that they did not modernize and resources played a huge role in their capabilities. Also you're going way back into the time of Feudalism in Japan, I'm talking about Imperial Japan.
The Japanese soldier had great fighting spirit mind you, one of the most hardened and toughest during WW2. You do realize the only reason the US was triumphant during the Pacific War was because of it's production capabilities and vast resources which was VERY much bigger than Japan's.

Slowly but surely as i mentioned Japan couldn't meet it's production quota due to it's lack of resources, top that with poor cooperation between Army and Navy and you have the decline of the Japanese Empire. But the key reason there was poor cooperation was because there were always debates about who should receive the most resources because of it's importance in the war.
