Bullies will not lose by themselves, nor get some natural punishment. They need to be brought down, best before they can procreate. But the centuries, of people believing they have to take that bullies continue to rule, have ended on an April 20th, 19 years ago, in a suburb of Denver. I will not call anybody to go on rampage or do anything illegal, but a bit of creativity to knock them out is very appropriate.
It would be good if they lose any status in terms of wealth, physical or social power. At best without conflict with the law. And if it can't be avoided, minimize the risk.
Somebody might think about it and come to conclusions such as
"Thou shalt not kill: Everything about killing will trigger outrage and intense persecution by police, and life terms or capital punishment in court. If they get knocked out physically, permanently, but not killed, efforts by law enforcement will be much less, and so risk of severe punishment. Permanent knockout can mean things like blinding, paralyzing or defacing them. Wouldn't a life in a wheelchair, blind and with an acid-corroded face be better than death? Or what if just their property gets destroyed, businesses get jammed and brought to a halt. Since such actions trigger only minor response from law enforcement, underleaving their radar this way has become a primary strategy by far-left extremists (Antifa and the like) in Europe and, rather new, the USA. When it comes to proper treatment of bullies, people can possibly learn from these groups"
"Don't play fair. Bullies don't play fair with their victims, and so shouldn't they when payback time comes. Quit moronish nonsense, like 'fair, man-to-man fight with fists'! Fighting bullies is fighting for a good cause against an absolute evil, which enjoys torturing and ruining people. No need to care if they call one a coward, when smashing something over their head from behind, or pouring some funny substances in their drinks, while they are away. What is required here is not a sense and attitude of warriors, but one of pest controllers and exterminators. These also don't give rats and cockroaches 'fair chances'."
Whatever conclusion one might adhere, the initial lesson delivered by Columbine should be learned and refined, in order to bring bullies down. And it's even better when those who seek justice against them, avoid risk of long prison terms, or having to kill themselves, as usually happens.
