They've given me too much bullshit platitudes and have not tried understanding my situation, my dad keeps saying things will get better but they never do.

They have nothing to tell me anyway. Always the same pointless conversation where they ask how I'm doing and I have to just bullshit the answer because if I say the truth they'll just gone off on one of their bullshit routines.

All I do is computer programming, fapping a couple times a day, and talking to other incels. Inb4 u say no wonder I'm depressed, I've done all sorts of other hobbies, tried so many things and none if it helped. None of it ever broke me out of inceldom.

when my dad was close to his death he used to tell me, verbatim, "talk to me about anything. whatever." it calmed him down. being the dumb fucking idiot that i was i didn't know what to talk about, and so that's what i told him. "i dont know what to talk about". whatever, eventually he died and every once in a while ill dream about him and 95% of the times that i do i just instinctively go and hug him even if im not consciously aware that he's dead in real life, it's just something that i feel like doing, hugging him and telling him that i love him and that im grateful of the things he gave me and that i wish i couldve been closer to him.

when they are gone you will regret not talking to them. when my dad was still alive i had the mild feeling that when he'd die i would regret not being more close to him, and fuck me i couldn't have been more right.

fair, i dont know what your relationship with your folks is like, just be aware that the things that they say, like "my life was harder in my time" may just be weird dumb old-timer attempts at trying to help you and motivate you at getting a better life yourself.

before my dad was close to his death i also used to think that he didn't like me and/or wanted to be close to me, but as time went on and as he was closer to his death it was evident that his own mental barriers (le mentalcel lelelel) made it extremely hard and uncomfortable for him to get close to me. he was simply an older version of me, and i most certainly would find it extremely awkward to try relating to young smaller versions of me.
