I have a feeling that Monster Hunter Wilds is going to be especially egregious when it comes to dlc and micro transactions. My theory is that instead of eventually releasing one G rank expansion equivalent, they're going to drip feed smaller paid dlc expansions throughout late 2025 and into 2026. But I have a very strong feeling this is what modern Capcom is going to do. They already locked a ton of armor in Sunbreak behind paid dlc.

Probably. With the introduction of the free high tier armor for beginners starting in MHW and MHR, it could be paid now.

Not playing that unoptimized, hideous and overly casualized (even for me) MH game even for free. All modern capcom games has shitload of dlcs and with Rise and SF6 they made even more of them, their games are now a platform for dlcs not just games that you can buy and play. MH from their mobile team will be much better just like Rise vs World.
