I hate when feeaamayles pull the "I have a boyfriend" card

Suddenly they don’t have a boyfriend when Chad appears

I have heard women say that the “I have a boyfriend” line is so effective because the threat of violence from another male is the only thing men respect. This has never made much sense to me, because her boyfriend obviously isn’t here to fight me anyway, and even if he was what makes her think I can’t smash him?

Obviously this is a very gentle way to let a man down. It’s not that he wasn’t up to the job, but rather there is no “vacancy to be filled”.

I would suggest that primarily it is because men respect loyal women. By saying that she has a boyfriend, she is asserting that she is not a slut. That she won’t spread her legs for a strange man because her real or imagined partner has stepped out of the room for five minutes.

When you make this argument there is always one woman who pipes up that men don’t pay any attention to that line anyway. That is the woman who dresses so whorishly nothing she says can convince the man she isn’t one.
