Her birthday was the twenty-something of November. I knew the book I brought would appeal to her because I recognised her needs from a conversation prior. To this day I haven’t gotten a thank you, not even through text lool

I love buying people gifts except for her. I’ve put a lot of thought and care into her presents, i.e. expensive handbag, favourite gospel singer album, DVD boxset etc. And what does she get me? A DVD that cost £1. Even my mother was upset.

Fortunately, I’m working on Christmas, so I won’t be in the house that much which is a blessing.

This year I got her a book on coping with loneliness
