This is myth, altough such talented people would often want others to believe in it ( 'i don't even need to practice/train/work/study, i just win effortlessly' - a sub-concious blackpill btw), it is not plausible to be on top if you're not constantly pushing your limits.
The high-earners and atlethes have dedicated their entire life to be where they are, and there where thousands who fell off the rat race along the way that you don't see. By the time you reach where they are standing now, they already moved the goalposts even further outside your reach.
