The average person in The US is fat. People's perceptions are all fucked because they're used to seeing fatties. Normal, healthy weight people are considered too skinny.

It's mostly about foids feelings. They don't want to feel bad about the way they look. They benefit from fat foids being accepted and normalized. If other foids are fat, they feel better and if they're told skinny girls are the ones with the problem then they have more reason to try and put down the skinny girls that they're jealous of.
Everyone knows it's better to be thin than fat so it's only socially acceptable to try and intervene if foids are too thin because fat foids will be more upset because deep down they know they're the ones with a problem. They're just so deep in denial.
This only applies the normies of society. The rich want fat to be accepted because fat people are the biggest consumers of everything. The rich just want to make the most money and fat people are the most profitable and easier to control.
