So for context, ducts in the house is channels for air to fuck off to for HVAC systems and dryers. Today I was bound to clean the dryer duct.
Specifically my grandmas house. Since she deosnt charge me rent I decided its good for me to lift my weight around the house and not enforce the incel steryotypes fucking redditors belive in. So I got to it. First thing I notice witch still disturbs me is that my grandma has a gas dryer so the risk of house fires went the fuck up. So I started off with moving the dryer up front. Carefull not to fuck up the gas line.
The rest was a matter of detaching the duct hose, and using my big ass shop vac(thanks for the vacum grandma, it makes it easier to preserve your house) and vacuming out all the ducting that the dryer blows well the waste air out. And lint unfortunately. So I had to vacum out a shit load of shit except some lint likes to stick. Thats from spilled laundry powder and air moisture getting around and making shit stick around. So I had to get a couple of brushes but for now only used the short one. Used it to soften shit out.
After that it was a matter of vacuming that shit out again. Beyond that I needed a longer brush to get even more shit out because part of the ducting system is long ass thin metal pipes. The longer brush helped get that shit detached from the pipe and allowed me to vacum it all out with the extention parts of the hose.
This may be a bullshit story for most of yall but think of it like this. If you have a gas supply at a house and its near lint, 2 flammable things you dont want next to eachother. Also it allows air flow, prevents over heating of the dryer because the waste air can escape the house. As for air ducts, even though I didnt clean that today, cleaning it is good for your health as you wont be breathing all that fucking dust. Its simple to do with the right tools but you do need those right tools. A bit time consuming but itll save you from being wished a merry cancer this christmas.
It deosnt hurt to learn about a house and care for it. Especially if you live at a parrents house for the basment cells out there. Learn these things and have a chance out there at the trades. Better to be working at trades then fucking retail like me. Dont be like me. Dont work at amozon with all these fucktards and retard managers (except for like 2-3 managers). GTFO the milenial zone. And get your self coated in dust like I did.
