Don't remember the last time I went out to eat somewhere (although in this country we don't have to tip anyway, maybe just a small, tiny amount). Must be more than 10 years. Ohh no wait there was this one fast-food place where I went a few times to grab a burger, but that was over 5 years ago too.

However in my country several times I have had shop staff try to over charge me, for example there wasn't a price on a double pack of coke and I asked how much it was, she gave a price and I said "I need to go out to the car to get more money" and she said it was ok you can have it at that lower price. The price she told me obviously was too high given that she let me off with paying the supposed price.

can't relate, my dad's cooking was dire as hell, just randomly slapping together ingredients and leaving potatoes undercooked and shit
mom's cooking was alright but very rigid at times.
