Soicism teaches us that life has always been out of our hands for the most part...
You don't chose your genes;
You don't chose the circumstances of your birth (parents, country, year, etc.);
You don't chose how people will react to you;
You don't chose which traumas will be inflicted upon you through your shitty childhood;
You don't chose whether you'll be well fed growing up, or malnourished;
You don't chose whether your town will be bombarded with depleted uranium in the name of democracy while you're in your mother's womb, or in your dad's ballsack.
Etc.
What we actually chose is very limited indeed, it is mostly down to a few choices of how to use our time, energy and our bodies to achieve something or another we chose to achieve or avoid.
