So for the anons that don't know anything fruit grafting, this plant is used to graft persommon onto because by comparison very cold hardy making it the objectively best rootstock in temperate climates.
So.... This plant is native in East Asia and the Caucasus mountains. Imagine my surprise when I found it in the woods of Germany, a place where it definitely doesn't belong.
But then I realized that this plant is literally me and I found it's resilience impressive. Imagine starting out as something a bird shat and then surviving a largely foreign climate so that you are able to beat fruit.
This shit is so fucking inspiring, this plant ascended, it's parent probably lives in an experimentational lot and won't get to bear fruits ever again, because they usually use cuttings to propagate such plants.
This here little date-plum ascended in a foreign environment. I fell like we will all make it brocels. I have hope.
