Discussion I don't understand the appeal of John Mayers music

I tried listening to a couple of his hits the other night, and I just couldn't get into it.

Sure he can play and sing very well, but I don't find his song writing to be particularly interesting, and the lyrics are kinda meh.

Love his signature guitar with prs, but his songs are just sex haver normie slop. Jfl I mean he literally wrote a song called "Your body is a wonderland"

Am I alone in this or am I just missing something with his music?
