I should have learned the language of some uncucked civilization instead: maybe Russian or Mandarin. I have no longer any intention of visiting any of the Western countries. I thought I was going to travel the world and live a great adventure when I was young, but now that I'm fully aware of my ugly looks; everything seems to have been pointless. All the dreams I have ever had were all wishful thinking; no one of it will ever come true. Visiting America, dating hot blonde Stacey and being part of the world, none of that will happen. I feel cheated in a way and there's nowhere else to go. Maybe the alternative is the road to the otherside.

English is very useful if you want to read/play/watch something that is not available in your native language, because everything related to the (((arts))) either comes from english-speaking countries or is english-translated.

It's Portuguese. The only advantage is that I can have access to information in English, but none of the things I have ever learned improved my life. None of those things have made my life better. I think getting an education and learning about a lot of stuff is overrated. On a daily basis, I never used anything other than basic communication skills and arithmetics ( as in managing money when going to a store). I've never used English here. I have never used Calculus or any other crap.

Globalization and the latest improvements in transportation and communication technologies have turned every single edge of the globe into a copy of the west. There's no novelty anymore. To travel to other places is pointless because; it does not matter where you go, people will act similar to the way people act in the west. You can also access real-time footage of any location on the globe. So yeah, learning other languages is pointless at this point. In the future, especially if the colonization of the solar system takes off, everyone will speak English.

I wish I had lived during that period when there was still a feeling of novelty and discovery. Unfortunately, that's gone now. I feel no excitement in talking to any of you. But I think it would have been interesting if we had to trade letters which would take months to arrive. Well, that's my personal opinion. I don't know if anyone can relate.
