Well 30 hours ago from typing this shit in, I treid to install a 20A GFCI in my grandmas kitchen. And that GFCI told me to go fuck myself. This is the 2nd GFCI that would not fucking work, 1st one was a 15A I treid in my bathroom. And Id rather my grandmas house not burn down. I dont want bad shit happening regardless if I live there or not.

The wiring has the ground wires and its around 14 Gauge except for some reason were I treid the 20A GFCI it looks like 10 gauge wire so I wore nutted a 14 gauge wire branch for the outlet. No the nuts didnt go loose I know it didnt. But anyone with knowlege with electricity or better knowledge then me I appreciate any usefull advice on making it to were I can get a GFCI to work in my grandmas house. All the breackers or all the ones with outlets are 20A. Voltage seems to average out at 115V but theres a slight difference in numbers on each recepticle. Actually I think the outlet I tried the 20A GFCI was 116V along with my bedroom outlet.

There is a ground wire for all of em. For some reason there a dead ass outlet near the front door I cant get to work too. House is almost as old as my grandma actually I think older.

Get an electrician out to do it

Im too broke. Also Im 50/50 on either being a electritian or home inspector. Both have good ass pay for little schooling.

sorry can't help you, but have a bump

Being an electrician is likely better i'd say
I thought of being a plumber then I remembered the 2nd rule of being a plumber:

Dont play with shit if you cant handle the smell.

Reality, plumbing and also HVAC will require you to carry a billion different fucking tools along with piping. Alot less portable then the less quantity of needed tools and problably less piping/wire as a sparky. But in plumbing you got all these fucking pipes and shit. In HVAC its other things at almost same quantity. For Electrical its way less shit unless your like doing the cunstruction type electrical.

Home inspectors do get paid slightly more then sparkys and carry even less tools. But I barley see opertunitys for home inspector aprentiship.

Regardless of which in particular you pick they are all fairly physical and not too different from eachother they are all trades
